Evidently it's been three years since the last Dickensfair we attended, so it was time to hit up one again.

This year the Google Kitsmas party was held at the USS Hornet museum up in Alameda. I dithered about going, nearly didn't-- I missed the 'RSVP' post, but wrote the party planners and was assured I should just pick up a wristband.

Overall it was a pretty good experience! The pictures, let me show you them.

With Google being such a large company, our company Halloween party is also quite a shindig. It's held out in a large park area that's normally used for sports and there are two events: one on Wednesday for the parents with kids, and one on Thursday for the adults. Here, check out these pictures.

As some of you might know, I hosted a family potluck for Thanksgiving which went reasonably well. Some of the relatives couldn't make it though, so I decided to host another potluck for Christmas.

... 23 people RSVP'd.

Okay. Um. Eek.

Fortunately my brother had bought another folding table, so all I needed were some more folding chairs to go with it, and we had just barely enough chairs to seat everyone. I thought on what to make-- as usual, I make veggies to ensure that someone is bringing the nutrition, but I wanted an appetizer as well, for people who got here early.

Last time, I'd made Annie Chung's potstickers (from Whole Food) which was straightforward enough, but this time I wanted to do something a bit special.

I think I've learned my lesson. T_T )
