Regular tables mean you can have all-day gaming with a break for putting away the character sheets and setting down the pot-luck stuff. Coffee table means you can have people sitting on the floor or on a sofa.

I've done it both ways -- the coffee table feels more informal and I kinda like it better, but if you have anyone who doesn't do well with the leaning forward/sitting on floor stuff, you'd want a Real Table.

Also, that rug looks nice in there!

Well, one side will be the futon sofa, so... I wonder if there's a way to engineer a height-adjustable table that will still look good?
