Cooking Experiment: Beef Stew
Dec. 10th, 2011 08:10 pmNot really very experimental, but it tastes great! Slow cooker beef stew.

I did make a few minor changes:
1. 1.4 pounds of beef instead of 2 pounds.
2. Chicken stock instead of beef broth.
3. Instead of 1/2 tsp of salt, I used a teaspoon of low-sodium soy sauce.
4. I didn't have any worcestershire sauce, so I substituted honey-smoke barbecue sauce.
No big deal, really, tastes just fine, IMO! If you wanted to, I'm sure you could make the various changes recommended, but I don't think it's necessary to (for instance) sautee the beef beforehand.
