Nothing much to say about it, chop up the veggies (carrots and zucchini), stick them in with plenty of garlic with about 4 cups (one package) of chicken stock and half a cup of pearled barley. Get that started in the crockpot with an 8-hour time at 'low'.
Then you cut up the chicken and put it in a bowl mixed with poultry seasoning of your choice and put that in the fridge. When it's 2 hours to being done, then dump the chicken in with maybe a cup of flour and stir, then put the lid back on and let it cook for the rest of the time. That ensures the chicken is cooked, but not overcooked. Add whatever seasoning you feel are needed near the end.
