Sometime after that was FanimeCon 2019! As mewsual, I trekked down to Dracosphynx's place and we caravan-ed to San Jose and found parking bright and early, then browsed around.

Welcome to FanimeCon 2019! It used to be this tiny cute thing, now it justifiably uses a significant part of the convention center. I think we're up to half the center now? Bigger than Further Confusion, for sure.

A quick pic of a cat-eared person on the center stage, out in the main concourse.
We headed down to the dealer's room and the art show... Well, I call it an art show but it's really a huge area with lots of artists selling their art. I don't recall them having a formal art show per se.

So cute! Cat-shaped coffee cups. Purrfect for that coffee lover in your life.

Fashionable AND functional! I'm all set with my 'manbag' (a Timbuk2 bag) but these might suit someone out there. Or go perfectly with a steampunk costume.

The food court. Because what says Japanese cuisine better than takoyaki, am I right? I forget exactly what the Giant Baby Bottle thing was all about.

A couple of impressive costumes sighted while wandering through the artists' alley!

We decided on a late lunch at this Ramen Nagi place in Valley Fair. Looks like a ramen place, all right!

Mmm, pork tonkotsu soup and ramen. It was very good!

I have entirely forgotten what flavors exactly this truffle was, but it was good. Thinking chocolate mint.
