Much like Further Confusion 2012, I planned a single day trip, with the addition of [livejournal.com profile] cjthomas wanting to do lunch.

We'd initially planned to snag Devi and whomever else wanted to go, but failed at locating Devi, so it was just [livejournal.com profile] dracosphynx, [livejournal.com profile] cjthomas and me. We hiked over to Gordon Biersch. Good food, with the exception of the New York steak sammich -- avoid that if you go there, it tasted burnt. Waste of good meat. The Kobe beef sliders we had were very tasty though. The homebrew root beer was adequate but somewhat spoiled by presentation, root beer should be served in tall, frosty mugs, not in soda glasses with ice.

Made my round of the dealer's room and the art show. I brought along a post-it note of the comics I'd noted last year were missing from my collection, but sadly, wasn't able to find any. I suspect Radio Comix is the last holdout of the furry comic subgenre.

I picked up Tracy Butler's Lacksadaisy graphic novel, volume 1. Absolutely amazing art! Also Nordgard volume 1 from Teagan Gavel and Tess Garman.

Somehow I totally glossed over [livejournal.com profile] chipotle's Indigo Rain novelette, so I nagged [livejournal.com profile] dracosphynx to pick it up the next day. -_- I wonder if it was being sold at the booth with what seemed like 75% adult content books? If so, that may explain why I missed it; certainly I am more likely to have overlooked something in skimming over the selection and seeing a sea of 'not for innocent Tufties' stickers. Word to the wise, if you're going to have that many adult content books, try to make sure the non-adult-content books have their own section rather than being mixed up with the rest.

The con air quality left something to be desired! It varied between pungent with too many people in a small space, and dry/irritating. This did not combine well with my desire to avoid coming down with con crud, the constant feeling of dry, scratchy throat left me in constant anxiety. I miss the 'all in one hotel' days, where I don't recall that sort of issue. I am not sure I'd go to the extent of booking a trip to a fur con to relive those days, though, I don't see that I'd do enough there to be worth the expense and time.

To those I saw, it was great to see you all, and I apologize for not being very conversational, the noise level wasn't exactly conducive to it!
