No spoiler review above the cut but I thought it was, like most Pixar movies, very well done! Also, the credits astonished me in their command of artistry.

Interesting character designs. Some great contrasts.

If you've seen the movie, you're probably aware of the main characters by now - WALL-E, last surviving of his series and last robot on Earth, a small, cute and lovable character despite being basically a metal box on tracks - and EVE, a curvy (literally) ovoid robot with flight and a built-in blaster. WALL-E is basically helpless but endearing in his sincerity and persistence; EVE is the strong character, oddly.

Think about it this way, if they were humans, WALL-E would be basically a nebbish-looking janitor and EVE would be the powerhouse corporate executive.

Strange thought.

Wall-E had kind of the rattly analogue look, while Eve had the slick iPod look. Eve was more tied down to her directive than Wall-E was, though... I don't think she would've been a corporate exec though, she didn't call any of the shots and was basically just as trussed up as all the other robots when she got sent to the repair ward. (Though she sure was disgruntled about it.) She'd have been an elite scout.. well, she basically was.

Hmm, good point... Eve was very iPod-ish indeed! But it was her irateness that made me think 'corporate exec' - she'd be the the kind to wear a business suit at least. Bank auditor, sorta. Or Scully, from X-Files.

'Elite scout' seems like it's just casting Eve as a character from a different game, as it were, while I was trying to find some present-day setting analogue.
