Plugging a few Smashword novels...

Read in the last while: Herb-Witch and Herb-Wife by archangelbeth. The writing reminded me of Lois McMaster-Bujold and Elizabeth Moon. Renaissance fantasy, reminiscent of Regency but set in a world of alchemy. (note: some mature scenes in the second book)

Currently reading: Even the Wingless by haikujaguar. If you've enjoyed her serials, do consider this, 'tis a full novel-length story of high-stake diplomacy set in her science fiction Alliance universe, but you do not need to have read her other Alliance books to understand this one. I haven't reviewed it yet but I will when I get done! (note: some very dark scenes!)

Read in the distant past but now purchased on Smashword: Pay Me, Bug which I saw mentioned on haikujaguar. I do so love smugglers and scoundrels. ^_^

Yeah, that's the hard part! Obviously you need more reviews from people who will get you more readers, who will buy your books so you can then afford to pay cover artists. ^_^

I don't think I have a big readership but on the other paw, information that spreads slowly through many people still spreads. And people seem to take it more seriously when someone they know recommends something.
