Diane Duane not only wrote up a lovely sounding recipe but wrote Sherlock Holmes fanfic to go with it. Do give it a looksee!

I am not sure I am brave enough to try making such a confection when I have never even baked a cake, myself.

Bookmarked. I'll almost certainly be too lazy to make this any time soon, and would have to substitute ingredients to get something I could eat, but the techniques implicit in the recipe will doubtless come in handy.
