The fate of the used books...
Oct. 28th, 2012 05:52 pmSo you may remember that I'd posted about separating out duplicate books, and books I was no longer interested in rereading from my collection, some time ago. All told, it amounted to eight completely filled "U-Haul" small boxes of books.
I took them in to Book Buyers a couple weekend ago. It took them a while to process the books.
What did I get for the books?... $132 in store credit, no cash back.

Yeah, this is how far $132 goes in store credit.
Honestly I think it's a reasonable exchange. I wasn't going to get cash back, the books I sold them were mostly duplicates (the results of consolidating collections between myself and my brothers), and these will go a long way toward filling in gaps in my collection. I had some trilogies missing the first book, for instance... Who wants to reread a trilogy in the middle?
There's still quite a number of books in my list of books to find that I wasn't able to find at Bookbuyers, but I knocked off over half the list.
