Following the chocolate walking tour, we headed over to Golden Gate Park and into the Japanese tea garden! This one is going to be mostly pictures. It's really a small area but very pretty.
Here's me:

Here's
kagetsume:

A very pretty 5-tier pagoda:

Despite how it looks, this is a crane statue, not a live crane:

A waterfall feeding into the lake. This really captures the feel of the whole garden, I think, a miniature version of an exotic and beautiful landscape.

We had a cup of tea and some tea cookies in the tea garden's cafe. They have tea ceremonies during the week, which you need to reserve, but none during the weekend. I tried the genmaicha tea, but sadly, despite its claim to be "rice tea", there weren't any toasted brown rice kernels, though I could taste that it had been made with 'rice water'. I will have to try making it myself sometimes to get the real experience.
After that, we were pretty tired out, or at least I was, but we headed down to Potsticker King to get dinner before retiring for the night!
