I cooked one of these and I tasted the other.

This is the one I made. It was a learning experience... I sous vide-cooked some chicken thighs, then dredged them in flour and then batter. The sous vide part was a waste of time, and the batter was way too thick for the effect I wanted, a thin crispy coating around really tender chicken. I will have to experiment more. Probably sous vide should not enter into the equation.
There are actually two kinds of fried chicken here; one is batter-fried, and the other I simply dredged in flour and then dipped right into the oil. The latter was much better, IMO.

This was a cheese sandwich containing mac'n'cheese, served up by a food truck at Google. Google has started a summer program where they send a variety of food trucks around the campuses, and this happened to be up at the time. It was pretty tasty but likely way too much starch and not enough anything else to be healthy!
