Work RenFaire picnic

Time to catch up with some of the pics that have been languishing on my phone!
Big Search Engine Company (tm) is too big to have just one company picnic. Instead, each major department has its own picnic, and this year my department decided to have a RenFaire-style picnic. Of course I went.

At the gates, people were greeted by some costumers. Here, a fully dressed knight (man, it must have been hot in there) gave a little girl a bag of saltwater taffy in a burlap satchel.
For kids, they had a whole section of fair-style entertainments such as trampolines, game booths (the sort where you throw darts or balls or rings); for the adults they had this one 'ring the bell' thing with a hammer. Looked like you had to be pretty strong to win that one!

What did I have? A chicken tamale and mixed greens salad, and a chicken-habanero sausage in a hotdog bun. They were both pretty good. There were about 8 or so food trucks gathered up providing food for the picnic; only several of them were really 'RenFaire' style i.e. the whole turkey leg one, the rest were 'make up your own excuse, we just serve tastee foods'.

The line for the frozen bananas/ice cream tacos (?) stand were untenably long, so I went in for the mini-donuts instead. They were being made constantly by this machine! Nifty. And very tasty. :9
