rowyn and Dread Pirate Alinsa visited last Saturday while they were doing a whirlwind tour of the San Francisco Bay Area, hitting up various concerts. They were both wearing the T-shirts from Sabaton. I gave them a tour of my house, we had Japanese curry at Muracci's, we went on a bit of a walk and I snapped a pic of Rowyn with the alligator turtle fossil shown above. (Hi Rocky!)
Back at my place, I subjected Rowyn and Alinsa to God of Cookery. ^_^ Such a great movie.
Fordracosphynx's birthday, I hassled him into getting out of the house and we attempted to get to Hukilau for lunch. We were waylaid by a car show!
Dracosphynx: "It's so cute! So you."
This isn't a car mod you see everyday. Eyelashes on the headlights!
After Hukilau, we looked around a bit. I was impressed by these very thoroughly attired dolls in a Japanese culture store.
Afterward we headed back to Dracosphynx's apartment and watched live-action Space Cruiser Yamato! It was pretty good actually, given they were trying to cover the events of a very long series in a 2-hour space. They took some relatively forgivable liberties with the plot and characters.
Oh, what did I get Dracosphynx for his birthday? A black shirt with the word 'NO.' and a bottle of 18-year-aged chocolate-flavored balsamic vinegar.
