tuftears: Lynx in Chef's Hat (Cooking)

It seems once again I have carefully neglected my phone's growing collection of pictures until I must post them all in a lump sum lest the pile topple over and bury me! This entry concerns a couple of meals that I cooked and apparently felt worth blogging.

Here we have another effort at teriyaki chicken thighs. They came out relatively pleasantly but I think I should be careful about using the boneless chicken thighs, because they're hard to cut due to the fact the bones were cut out of them-- this means they're essentially folded back into shape, and they will happily unfold when cut, making something of a mess. Chicken breasts are easier that way but maybe a bit less flavorful.

The potsticker was a decent idea to add substance to the meal, but... It doesn't do well on freezing and reheating. Potstickers are best fresh. :P

Following on my very tasty Three Flavor Asian Meatballs, I decided that I'd better use up some of the BBQ sauce lingering in my refrigerator and got some ground turkey to make an effort at it. These are made with 50% zucchini-- thus there's no need for any additional vegetables. Half of these are flavored with smokey BBQ sauce from Trader Joe's, the other half with raspberry chipotle BBQ sauce, and then I baked them, the Western approach.

Not bad, IMO. They aren't quite as awesome as the ginger/basil/various sauces pork meatballs, but they do taste pretty good.
