tuftearsIt's been a while since I've made pancakes or waffles, and an even longer while since I've made savory pancakes, so I felt obligated to give it a try with the box of Trader Joe's multigrain pancake mix I picked up a whlie ago.
Tasted pretty good! Unlike the previous multigrain pancake mix I was using, it's not too sweet to turn into a savory pancake.
I did make a few substitutions: water in place of milk, Eggbeaters in place of regular eggs. I added shredded cheese and mixed veggies and ham. I don't add any syrup to savory pancakes, but I imagine if you wanted something on top, gravy would be a better idea. Mmm, gravy. Or maybe bacon/onion jam.
