tuftears | Status Report for December, 2024

Happy Mew Purr, and may the year be as kind as possible to all of us!

I have changed over to my Chromebook for most non-gaming activity, and my new PC has been finalized and setup for gaming. All seems good, except that for some reason the sound quality on the new PC just isn't as good. I'm starting to wonder if maybe the speakers are going bad.

Timecrossed Engineer is now being read by Rowyn! I'm enjoying the comments she's been leaving. ^.^ Other than that, I've been slowly coloring the intended book cover illustration, which is something of a learning process. It's about 75% done, I'd say.

I've been hacking my way through Grand Theft: Dragon's detailed outline. There are some issues I'm trying to work out... but better that I find them in the outlining stage than while writing.

I took a little time and worked up some very rough sketches for Archangel Beth's desired book cover for her 'Treasure Island but with cats' book.

I have changed the batteries on the smoke detector!

Christmas was a quiet time. Some family are in Singapore, others in Japan. I just stayed home and cooked beef bourguignon. Which came out okay, but now I have most of a bottle of red wine that I've got to save for next year when I try making it again (but better).

And now it is 2025... You might be wondering if I'm going to make any new year's resolutions. I like the sentiment a Skeet expressed a little while ago: "It's not me who should resolve to be better, it's the year." That said, I will continue with my plan to try and write and publish books. Still seems like the best way to spend my creative energy. Ideally I'd get Timecrossed Engineer out the door, probably on Kindle and Smashwords, and see what the public thinks.
