Status Report for November, 2025
Dec. 1st, 2025 05:01 pmThat's November in the bag!
I did finish up the cover for Timecrossed Engineer, but I haven't yet gotten around to figuring out how to publish it as an ebook yet. It also turned out to be a good thing I went around for another edit pass, because I fixed some incorrect names and logical errors.
I spent some time working on an outline for Alien Tastes--this would be the seventh draft.
I started editing the Rose in Nova Paree novel. Current working title will be 'The Rose's Nova Paree Crime Spree.' Right now I'm in the midst of completely reworking one of its major heists, it was a little too boring/chase-heavy before. I like how it's coming out now, hopefully it will feel more 'I have a cunning plan'-esque.
I cut over FurryMUCK's DNS to the default servers, which allowed us to recover our Google Workspace domain. (which had been stopped due to non-payment, so Drew needed to make some DNS changes in order to prove that we really did control the domain)
I also cut over Purrsia's DNS to default servers. No issues so far. I need to get around to doing the email changes (that require DNS changes to support) so lynx.purrsia.com stops being treated as a probably-spam domain.
I finished Alters! It's a pretty great survival base-building game with a solid science fiction story. I do recommend it. No really bad action sequences, but some reflexes will be needed.
Currently playing Rogue Trader.
I made my own Thanksgiving meal, but I also did a Thanksgiving meal at my uncle's. I was advised not to bring anything but decided (since I had already bought veggies in case they'd be wanted) I might as well make the green beans and bring those along--it turned out to be a good idea since they'd forgotten (so they claimed) to get the Brussels sprouts they'd planned to be the veggies of the meal.
So plan for December... Finish editing the Rose in Nova Paree novel and then start looking for first readers. Try and make the ebook for Timecrossed Engineer so I can give it a last read-through in "finished form." There may be a family Christmas get-together or not, I don't really know.
Maybe I'll start on a new novel... either late December or early in 2026.
