The Wandering Star by Teri S. Woods. It's a science fiction epic with humans and aliens shortly after a galactic war, and you really have to see it to appreciate how her linework makes the characters come to life.

Wow, this is really amazing work, pretty gripping. Thanks for pointing it out.

The 90's sensibility is kind of a blast from the past even if it's a comic about the future. :D Maybe even because of it.

Yes, those were the days. ^_^ The last B&W comic I got regularly was Furrlough, and then I cancelled that 'cause it has gotten just too terrible - bad art, weak stories, except for a few stars like Smudge's stories.

I still get Echo by Terry Moore, the guy who did Strangers in Paradise, but I get it in graphic novel form these days. Still, it's just not the same. Teri S. Woods's art is more, I dunno... Arty?
