The Wandering Star by Teri S. Woods. It's a science fiction epic with humans and aliens shortly after a galactic war, and you really have to see it to appreciate how her linework makes the characters come to life.

Am I mistaken, or was Teri S. Woods one of the artists on Rhudiprrt back in the day?

I thought so! Good to know that she's still doing art.

You know, I'm embarrassed it took me this long to make the connection, but I thought for sure Teri S. Wood's name sounded familiar, and there was SOMETHING about the art style. I've been doing some digging through my old art cabinets (Gwendel won't let me just trash all the old stuff, but I at least need to figure out a way to make it take up less space), and ran across some old stuff. Once upon a time, the only anthropomorphic-animal comic book I got a subscription to was "Rhudiprrt." I can't even remember what prompted me to check it out back in the day. Lo and behold, I was going to comment, and see you already beat me to the punch to make the connection. ;)

I was a bit ticked that the comics just went *poof* (particularly since I'd paid for a subscription - but that's how things go with small press publications, I guess). For some reason, the comic made me think of "John Carter of Mars," only with cats, and without the protagonist having been a human of humble origins and not some always-30-year-old immortal (come to think of it, "John Carter of Mars" was just pretty doggone WEIRD). I think I've got a total of 6 issues around here somewhere, and that's it. I suppose I ought to get around to writing and saying, "I've just got to know ... WHAT HAPPENED NEXT?!" ;)

Maybe the unseen ending was Rocks Fall, Everyone Dies?
