I had no idea you could cook a cake with a microwave.

It reminds me of haikujaguar's link to single-serving pie in a jar... But it is even more insidiously convenient since you can make one serving at a time! That said, I'd probably use a ramekin and bake them for that yummy browning effect.

It certainly looks like a waffle iron. Of course the thought of a cake that's gooey on the inside makes me wonder about warm chocolate filling... Thouhg I'm not sure how you'd engineer that with this appliance.

Chocolate cake dough in first to halfway point, push a chocolate ganache ball in, cover with a thin layer of remaining dough? I dunno, I've never made that. };)
