Microblog: Neighborhood Barbecue

Just giving
dracosphynx photographic evidence that I actually did make it out of my house to a neighborhood barbecue the other week.

It wasn't actually that big; I was picturing a true mob scene, like 200-300 people (which you'd certainly find on the Google campus any day at lunch in any given cafeteria) but there were like 50-60 people in the wide-open space you see.

I opted for the non-spicy sausage, which turned out to be chicken-apple. Delicious! They also had spicy red links, regular hot dogs, hamburgers, salmon burgers, and veggie burgers.
The little rice krispies balls were a great idea; it gave me a better understanding of what might be good to bring to the BBQ next time it happens. There were donuts and cookies as well as chips. I gave the sodas a pass though; they were all the high-fructose corn syrup types, bought in bulk. Bringing my own soda might be an idea as well.
Anyway, it wasn't exactly the hotbed of eligible singles I was hoping; mostly older people and parents with kids. :) Still, I have carried out a social outing. Be proud of me!
